Parippu Kari (Dhal Curry)

Ingredients

100 gm

25 g m

1

1 clove

25 ml

1

1/2 tsp

1/4 tsp

300 ml

1/2 tsp

Lentils

Onion (slice)

Chile (dried & slice)

Garlic (chopped)

Oil

Curry leaf sprigs

Chile powder

Coriander

Coconut milk

Salt (adjust to taste)

Method
  1. Wash the lentils then soak them in water for about 1 hour
  2. Heat the oil and stir fry the onion, chile, garlic and curry leaves
  3. Drain the lentils and add to the pan
  4. Add the chile powder, the coriander powder and the coconut
    milk
  5. Bring to the boil and simmer until the lentils are soft
  6. Add salt
