                                RECIPES OF SINGAPORE

Singapore Pork Chops

 

Ingredients

4

1 clove

1 tsp

1/4 tsp

1 tsp

4-5 tbsp

2-3 tbsp

1/2 cup

Center cut pork chops (1 inch thick)
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Ground ginger
Brown sugar
Wine vinegar
Crushed pineapple

Method
  1. Brown pork chops on both sides in dry large skillet for about 15-18 minutes
  2. Mash together garlic, salt, pepper, ginger, and sugar in a mortar and add vinegar and blend
  3. Add the garlic mixture to pork chops
  4. Lower heat and cover
  5. Cook for about 20 minutes or until meat is done and turn only once
  6. Spread pineapple over chops and cook for 5 more minutes and serve
