Sinigang Na Baboy
 

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs

5 cups

4 medium

1 medium

1/4 lb

1/2 lb

5 medium

Pork spare ribs (or beef or bangus or shrimp)
Water
Tomatoes (quartered)
Onion (quartered)
Green beans
Spinach
Tamarind (or use powder)
Salt (adjust to taste)
Method
  1. In a large pot, bring water to boil and add pork
  2. Add tomatoes, onion and tamarind
  3. Simmer for 1 hour or until pork is tender
  4. Taste for seasoning and bring to boil
  5. Add green beans and cook for 10 more minutes and remove from heat
  6. Add spinach and let stand for 5 minutes for spinach to wilt
