Karne con Kutsay (Beef with Leeks)

 

Ingredients

1 lb

1 tbsp

1 cup

3 tbsp

3 tbsp

1/4 cup

2 tbsp

Beef tenderloin (cut into 11/2 inch cubes)
Egg white
Corn starch
Cooking oil
Soy sauce
Water
Red pepper (cut into strips)
Leeks (or kutsay) (cut into strips)
Sesame oil

Method
  1. Coat tenderloin with egg white, then with cornstarch and let stand for 15 minutes

  2. Deep fry in oil and drain

  3. Leave 3 tablespoons of oil in pan

  4. Add soy sauce, water, red pepper, leeks and meat and cook for 2 minutes

  5. Add sesame oil before serving
