Dhooan Dahi Gosht

Mutton
Onion
Yogurt
Ginger paste
Garlic paste
Mint leaves
Green chillies
Red chillie (powder)
Coriander powder
Oil
Whole green cardamoms
Salt (adjust to taste)

Method
-
Blend 4 oz onion with a little water and add ginger
and garlic paste along with salt, chillie powder and coriander powder
and blend well
-
Mix the blended ingredients with mutton
-
Add water about 4 to 6
cups and cook until the meat is tender and water dries up
-
Add oil and fry the meat till it leaves oil on the sides
-
Beat yogurt with salt and cut the rest of the onion green chillies and
mint leaves finely
-
Prepare a heat proof dish and lay a layer of
meat, then yogurt and
top with the green masala
-
Repeat the process till the ingredients are
used
-
Put this dish in the oven and cook for 1/2 hour
-
Serve hot with
chapatis
or
naan
or
paratha or
idiappam
or plain rice
