Mandu Kuk (Dumpling Soup)

 

Ingredients

2 cups

1 cup

2 tbsp (heaped)

1 tbsp (heaped)

1/4 tsp

1/2 tsp

Basic soup stock (dak tang)
Water
Shredded carrot
Minced scallion
Salt
Steamed dumplings
White sesame seed (toasted and ground)

Method
  1. Pour the soup stock and 1 cup of water into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil

  2. Add the carrot and scallion; cook for 2 minutes
  3. Reduce heat to low and add the salt
  4. Add the dumplings and cook 1 minute
  5. Serve the soup in individual bowls, sprinkled with the sesame seed
