Dak Doritang (Spicy Chicken Chunks)

 

Ingredients

Whole chicken (cut into bite size pieces)

Onion

Potatoes

Chilly pepper

Carrot

Ground black pepper

Salt

Seasoning

2 tbsp

1/2 tbsp

2 tbsp

1 tbsp

2 tbsp

1/2-1 tbsp

2 tbsp

Gochujang

Ginger

Ground red pepper

Soy sauce

Garlic

Sugar

Rice wine (optional)

Method
  1. Clean vegetables and cut into big pieces

  2. Marinate chicken pieces with white wine and ginger (beforehand if possible)

  3. Make seasoning by grinding all the ingredients together

  4. In a big, deep skillet stir chicken pieces and add vegetables

  5. Stir for about five minutes, and then add water (1 – 2 cups of water, depends on chicken pieces), and add half of the seasoning

  6. Boil for about 30 minutes over medium heat

  7. Add the rest of the seasoning, and boil for about ten more minutes

  8. When water is reduced, add salt and black pepper
