Beuseus Namul (Stir-fried Mushrooms)
Ingredients |

2 oz
1 tbsp
1 tsp
1/4 tsp
2 tbsp
2-3 cloves
1 tsp
|
Shiitake
mushrooms (dried)
Soy sauce
Sesame oil
Sugar
Oil
Garlic
(minced)
Sesame seeds
(toasted) (optional) |
Method
- In a bowl, cover the mushrooms with water
and soak for 30-60 minutes till fully rehydrated (This will happen
faster if you use warm water, but more flavor will leach out)
- While the mushrooms are soaking, mix the
soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar together in a small bowl and set aside
- Squeeze the excess water out of the
mushrooms, cut off and discard the stems, and slice the caps into strips
- Heat the oil in a wok or skillet over high
heat
- Add the mushrooms and stir fry until they begin to brown
- Add
the garlic and stir fry another 1-2 minutes
- Remove from heat and stir in the sauce
well
- Remove to a serving bowl and top with
the sesame seeds
- Serve at room temperature
