Teriyaki Chicken
 

 

Ingredients

2

2 tbsp

4 tbsp

4 tbsp

2 tbsp

A little bit

A little bit

Chicken breasts (cut into small chunks)

Sake (rice wine)

Soy sauce

Mirin (sweet rice wine)

Sugar

Grated ginger (optional)

Green onion (chopped) (optional)

Method
  1. Mix sake, soy sauce, mirin and sugar in a bowl

  2. Marinate the chicken chunks in the mixture for at least 30 minutes in the fridge (Marinate longer if you want a stronger taste)

  3. Heat a pan and pour in vegetable oil (2-3 tsp)

  4. Place the chicken chunks in the pan and fry them on low heat

  5. Turn the chicken chunks over to fry both sides

  6. Stop the heat and add in the sauce that the chicken was marinated in

  7. Start the heat again and simmer on low heat until the sauce becomes thick

  8. Add grated ginger or chopped green onion after cooking
