Spicy Bean Sprout Salad

 

Ingredients

1 clove

3/4 tsp

1 tbsp

3 tbsp

2 tsp

1/2-1 tsp

4 cups

Garlic

Salt (adjust to taste)

Sugar (adjust to taste)

Rice vinegar (adjust to taste)
Sesame oil

Red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Bean sprouts

Method
  1. Mash the garlic with salt in a small bowl
  2. Add sugar, vinegar, the sesame oil, and red pepper flakes and whisk until the sugar and salt are dissolved
  3. Stir in the bean sprouts and let stand for 5 minutes
  4. Just before serving, taste for seasoning, adding salt, sugar, or vinegar as necessary; the salad should be highly seasoned
