Buta Zen Mai (Pork with Fern Shoots)

 

Ingredients

1 1/2 lb

1 lb

3 tsp

2 tbsp

1/2 tsp

2 tbsp

Lean pork (sliced thin)

Fern shoots (zen mai) (cut into 1 1/2 inch lengths)

Sugar

Soy sauce (shoyu)

MSG (gourmet powder)

Oil

Method
  1. Put oil in heated skillet and add pork and cook for 2 minutes

  2. Add sugar, soy sauce, MSG and cook for 3 minutes

  3. Soak and drain fern shoots and add to mixture and cook until most of the liquid is absorbed

  4. Remove and serve
