Bai To Konjak No Nimono (Simmered
Whelk and Konjak)
Ingredients |

Whelk (big sized)
Ita konjak
Soup stock
Sake
Mirin
Sugar
Salt (a pinch)
Soy sauce (a
little)
Konbu (2 x 2 inch)

Method
- Wash whelk well by salty water and
brush shell
- Pick off ita konjak into a bite pieces and boil with a
pinch of salt for 2 - 3 minutes then drain and soak into water for 2
-3 minutes
- Cut konbu into 1/2 inch square
- Put konbu and soup stock into pan and heat
- When
soup comes to boil, put konjak and boil again, then put whelk
- Add sake, mirin, sugar, salt and soy sauce
- Cover with drop-lid and
simmer for 5 minutes
