Steamed Trout with Spring Onions

Ingredients

4 cloves

2 tbsp

Trout (cleaned, scaled and gutted)

Garlic (crushed)

Vegetable oil

Spring onions (chopped)

Salt (adjust to taste)

Method

Season the fish with salt both inside and out then place in a steamer or fish kettle and steam for 30 minutes
Just before the end of the cooking time, place the oil, garlic and onion in a small saucepan and cook over a medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the onions have softened
To serve pour the onion oil over steamed fish
