Steamed Trout with Spring Onions

 

Ingredients

4

4 cloves

2 tbsp

Trout (cleaned, scaled and gutted)

Garlic (crushed)

Vegetable oil

Spring onions (chopped)

Salt (adjust to taste)

Method
  1. Season the fish with salt both inside and out then place in a steamer or fish kettle and steam for 30 minutes

  2. Just before the end of the cooking time, place the oil, garlic and onion in a small saucepan and cook over a medium heat for about 5 minutes or until the onions have softened

  3. To serve pour the onion oil over steamed fish
