                                RECIPES OF BURMA

Red Pork Pot Roast

Ingredients

2 lbs

2 tbsp

1/2 tsp

2 tbsp

1 tbsp

2 cloves

1 inch

2 cups

Boneless pork (cubed)

Soy sauce

Salt (adjust to taste)

Peanut oil

Brown sugar

Garlic (sliced)

Ginger (chopped)

Water

Method
  1. Marinate pork in soy sauce and salt for 1 hour
  2. Heat the oil, add the sugar and stir to dissolve and caramelize
  3. Add garlic and ginger and stir fry 2 minutes
  4. Add pork and mix well
  5. Cover pan and cook 15 minutes stirring occasionally
  6. Add water, cover and continue to cook for 45 minutes or until pork is tender and liquid is almost evaporated
